Wow the Sooners were as close to perfect Saturday night as a team could get. Demarco Murray, my favorite player on the OU Team set the Record at OU for the most touchdowns scored by a Sooner ever.. Which is amazing considering that they had Chris Brown the last two years as the Red Zone runnner and Demarco was on the bench inside the 20, which used to infuriate me since Demarco was the best back we had. Another thing I cannot believe that Demarco beat the likes of Heisman Trophy winners Steve Owens and Billy Simms. Especially Steve Owens, who in 1969 was basically the entire offense for the sooners. Demarco's was not the only record set Saturday. Landry Jones who was awesome in the passing department Saturday beat out Josh Hypel's record of completion percentage by completing 30-34 passes for 334 yards and 3 tds. That works out to 88.2 percent completion rate which beats the previous best which was 82.9 percent by Jason White (29-35) against Nebraska in 2004. Ryan Broyles bested the record for most completions by a Sooner record by hauling in 15 receptions. Basically the offense was clicking on all cyclinders Saturday night. The defense led by Travis Lewis who encouraged his team mates to not let Iowa State score Saturday. Iowa State never threatened to score a TD even when Moses Madu fumbled on the Sooner 30. The Sooner D totally dominated the hapless Iowa State offense all night. All in All you could not play much better, Hey I know it is Iowa State but still the Sooners deserve Kudos. The Sooners have moved up to third in the polls, but in the BCS poll the one that matters the Sooners are Number one in the country. Now the Sooners have to just win baby, and it starts next Saturday, when the Sooners will face the undefeated Missouri Tigers at Missouri. The Sooners need to have Landry Jones play as well as he did the previous couple of weeks, and Demarco and Ryan Broyles need to stay on fire. This is going to be our Toughest Road test this year to date. The Tigers have played mistake free so far. The Sooner Defense needs to make them make Mistakes. IF The Sooners win Saturday it will cement the Sooners at number one in the BCS and if they stay undefeated the Sooners will be in the National Championship. We have a lot of tough games away from home before that and Saturday may be the toughest.
Hey The Sooners Play Saturday night at primetime 7pm and gameday espn will be there.
GO SOONERS DECLAW THOSE TIGERS JUST WIN BABY>
